Creating a profile
Your profile is the description of your company and services and/or products that will be published on the Find a Creative area of the website. You should include all contact information within your profile that you would like to be available on your page. Your profile gives you the opportunity to describe your skills, experience and areas of expertise to potential clients. To create a profile visit the register section.
1. Your profile
Your profile gives you the opportunity to describe the trade or services that you offer to potential clients.
2. Your skills & experience
This should be up to eight facts that you would like potential clients to know about your company or services.
By way of example, an artist’s list may include the following details:
Original paintings in oils or acrylics // Specialist in landscape painting // Works exhibited in Rennies Arts & Crafts Liverpool and Manchester Art Gallery // Winner of the 2003 JMU ‘Best in Class’ award for the painting Five Alive // 2004 Elected Artist Member - Glasgow Art Club // Bespoke commissions welcome // Limited edition prints available
3. Your profile image
This image will appear on search results next to your name, and on your profile page. You should use a key image of what you do – this may be a digital photograph of your product or project or an example of your work. You ay also wish to use the same image as one of your supporting images [see 4. below]
Please note that your main image will be automatically cropped or resized into a square shape. For best results upload a square file larger than 600 pixels wide. Please also note that your image should be a maximum file size of 1Mb.
4. Your supporting images
Upload up to 6 images to accompany your Profile. You must upload at least 3 images. Each image should be accompanied by a title and short description. Your supporting images will appear on your profile page with your Main Image. They should be images of your products or projects, or examples of your work. Please also note that each of your images should not exceed 1Mb in file size.
Image name
Your main image needs a name to identify what it is. This is particularly important to help website users with impaired vision who may be using screen reader software to read your profile.
Image description
You may use this space to describe the image in further detail, e.g. information about the product/project. Please use a maximum of 30 words. For example, if it is an image of a product you may wish to describe what the product is made from and how big it is, or if the image is of a project you may wish to include details of what the project was called and who commissioned it.
